This is a card I made recently for a customer.

I have used background paper from First Edition Botanical Notes 8 x 8 paper pad.

Creative Expressions Frames & Tags - Maggie die by Sue Wilson

Creative Expressions Finishing Touches - Lace Edged Leaves dies by  Sue Wilson

I used Creative Expressions Enchanted Gold Metallic Gilding Wax to edge my

backing card, butterflies and flourishes.

The wedding couple, flourishes, butterflies and Mr & Mrs were all cut using my

Silhouette Cameo.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the Range.

Just for you

This was a quick card I made using my silhouette cameo.

White card & polka dot pink paper are from Docrafts.

The sentiment {free from a magazine} I stamped in spun sugar distress ink.

I sprayed the entire card in pearl diamond sparkle from

Crafters Companion, the photo doesn't do it justice it gives it the look of pearlescent card.

Flower dress form

I made this card for my aunties Birthday.  The dress form & background paper were free downloads, unfortunately I can't remember where from.

All the flowers were from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pearls, popcorn style wheat,  skeleton leaves & lace were in my stash.

The dark gold embellishment on the ribbon is a Marianne die.
The gold ribbon is silky crush ribbon from Creative Expressions.

Inside

The background paper is the same download as the front of the card & I I've printed out the sentiment.

The birdcage is a Tim Holtz die.

Glitter girls embossing board

This card was embossed with pink & white pearlescent card & pastel green & pink floral paper which was printed from a Joanna Sheen CD Rom.

I used the "Once Upon A Time embossing board" by the Glitter Girls (there is a facebook group called "The Glitter Girls Appreciation Army".

I finished off with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and a sentiment from a Crafters Companion CD Rom, which I then cut with a Marianne cutting die.

I've really enjoyed using these boards again, haven't used them for so long, in fact, I'd forgotten all about them until I cleaned my craft room (pig sty).

The stand for the card was cut from a cutting file, using my Silhouette Cameo.

Princess Brooke

This card was made for my little Granddaughter & she's definitely a princess.

I used pearlescent cardstock in pink & lots of irredescent glitter.

I found a cutting file of a sandcastle that I had free with my Silhouette Cameo, and I had a play around to alter it and make it look somewhat like a fairy castle.

The bunting & clouds were also a cutting file I bought from the silhouette design store I think
they cost about 50p.  I also cut the letters out.  I added white flowersoft to the clouds to give them a "fluffy" look.

The backing card was centura pearl from Crafters Companion, which I coloured (very lightly) with spun sugar & tumbled glass distress inks.

The little fairy was in my "bit box" don't know where it was from, I must have had it years (lol)
but I thought it fitted in with the theme.

Glitter girls embossing board

I haven't used these boards for so long.
I used acetate for the perfume bottles & painted them with pearlescent paint,
& added lots of bling.

The sentiment is from a Crafters Companion www.crafterscompaion.co.uk cd rom.
& cut with a Marianne die.

Fairy birdcage

I cut this cage 3 times on my silhouette cameo (approx. 10x10), then stuck the 3 layers together to make it sturdy enough to hang on the wall.  I added plaster of paris to give it a rough "shabby" look.  Then added silver gilding flakes.

I then added the fairy that I had stamped out & coloured.  Butterflies & foliage which were also cut with silhouette and coloured, then added some gems & some paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
My Granddaughter loves it.

Updated sideboard

Love this sideboard, it has loads of storage but it was far too dark.

So I removed all the handles, gave it a light sand, then 3 coats of Johnstones eggshell paint.

It looks so much better and makes the entire room look brighter.

A few cards made using my Silhouette Cameo

I used Tim Holtz birdcage and bird die for this card, the flowers and lace are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, papers are from prima and I've also used faded jeans and spun sugar distress inks.

Wedding Card

I made this card using silver & white cardstock, frames & heart were cut with my silhouette and I've added some pearls, silver gems and some white satin ribbon.

All Occasion Card

I made this card with a frame cut using my silhouette,  Tim Holtz birdcage & bird die,  white & blue pearlescent card & silver mirror card.

All embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the gem on my ribbon was made using my glue gun & glitter.

Craft room floor

I wanted something different on my craft room floor so took the laminate up and cut up some of my hoard of papers.

I used a mixture of  PVA and water to stick them to the floorboards in a random patchwork design.

At this stage, everythings stuck down but I'm thinking, what the hell have I done, I could of done with some sunglasses.

I then used some watered down white emulsion to tone the colour down.  I'm much happier now with the colour.  I finished off  by giving it a coat of the watered down PVA, then 3 coats of matt varnish (which I already had) so I've got a new floor for nothing.

A few christmas cards

Mini Bedroom Makeover

Thought I'd share a little bedroom makeover that I've just completed, which cost me nothing.  I used some glitter, gems, paint, lace (all of which I already had in my craft room) also an old duvet cover.

I also stuck some lace & gems to the bottom of my plain white blind to co-ordinate.

Upcycling project

My spare room needed a bit of tlc, so I decided to upcycle a lamp and a small set of drawers.
The drawers were originally beech and from ikea, I've used matt white spray paint from Wilkinsons and gave it two coats, leaving a day inbetween coats.
In the groove of the drawers I cut some scrapbook paper to size and distressed with faded jeans distress ink then used UHU glue to adhere.

The lamp started off with a yellow check shade (yuck) so I also used some spray paint on that & finished with some flowers and butterflies that I punched out.

I don't have a before photo but I'm really pleased with how they turned out and they're definitely an improvement to what they were.

Again not the best photo, but think I'm improving, well I hope{lol}.

Summer necklace

Ok, second attempt at jewellery making with air dry clay, I moulded the shapes I wanted, let them dry {24 hrs, sooo frustrating}.  I then painted them with craft paint and a metallic gold pen, finished off with a matt varnish.  Used gold coloured jewellery wire { wrapped around a thick pen to make the coils} to finish it off.

Mmmm, not sure!!!

Air Dry Clay

I've been dying to have a try at making some jewellery for a while, like most crafters I've already acquired more jewellery making items, along with all my other crafty stash [including air dry clay] than I know what to do with, lol.

So, with some pastry cutters to make the flowers some pretty beads & pearlescent paint, then a chain, this is the end result.

Not the best of pics [I definitely need LOADS of practice].  I'm quite happy with this as a first attempt, not sure about the chain though!!

Recently I have also been using my Silhouette Cameo (love this machine sooo much).
I've made a family tree of my children with their partners and my two beautiful Granddaughters.

It's for my craft room, however, not sure whether the black makes it too stark x

Apologies in advance for the messy photo (I'm only glad you can't see the rest of my craft room) x

Serif

Hi, this is the first card I have made using the Serif free software (downloaded from the Daisy Trail website).
It's been a while since I made cards and I thoroughly enjoyed making this x

And this is the inside.

Yet another thank you card (hope they like mermaids!)

Hi, everyone, wow! I,ve just discovered Crafts & Me, what a fab shop, great choice of stamps, both rubber & digis (I can feel my bank balance shrinking by the second, lol).  I downloaded a few digis the other day & the one I'm using today is called Hidden Treasure (my something new for the fab 'n' funky challenge).  Sooo lovely to colour, well, kept me quiet for a while :)

I,ve used promarkers & flexmarkers to colour my image & blue, white & silver acrylic pearlescent paints around my papers, card & the lace.  The papers are from Joanna Sheens Precious Petals cd rom, once again (I can't help it, this cd rom is fantastic, if only for the lush papers) and also blueberry pie from Papermanias capsule collection.

The lace I've used (which isn't very clear in piccie, sorry, is and old curtain, lol.  I also found a packet full of the dolphin buttons the other day when I was having a sort out :)
Basically I didn't know when to stop with this one, all the other items are from my stash, oh & garden, chuckle.

Thanks so much 4 looking today
luv
